It was a hot day, about 30° plus humidity, and we made a detour along a drive to visit a favourite white sand beach along the south shore of Nova Scotia. We drove into a fog bank, or the fog moved towards us, and the temperature dropped at least 10 degrees. It was a lovely reprieve from the heat.
The ocean water along the south shore of Nova Scotia can be very cold, but there were still some folk happy to brave the surf.
Sand castles don’t require sunshine.
The fog moved about, revealing and hiding at its whim, making people appear and disappear.
An intrepid fisherman is walking to a place along the inlet to bide some time. The ocean is to the right of this scene.
The fog was moving inland, to the left, and was adding an ethereal quality to the ocean inlet.
Homes on the hill have spectacular views of the ocean (to the right), beach, and surrounding landscape…when fog clears.
Ocean fog is marvellous.
Ahhh, what lovely conditions. I can feel the cooling. 🙂
Thanks, wish we had more of it. 🙂
